Fred “Bud” Rogers, age 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Greece, NY, on March 14, 2025, after bravely battling cancer. Bud was predeceased by his beloved mother, Caroline Rogers, and his grandmother, Doris Gruschow.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his cherished wife, Wendy, and his son, Scott (Monica) McKeown. Bud was also a devoted stepfather to Roger (Angela) Thiele and Tim (Lauren) Thiele, and a proud grandfather to Noah, Charlee, Sara, Cayden, and Audrey. He is survived by his siblings: Terry (David) Schultz, Dawn (Richard) Pisciotti, Wayne (Beth) Rogers, and Richard (Laura) Rogers; two loving aunts, Linda Murray and Sylvia Goodstine; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, including Jason Brunswick, Billy Callahan, Christopher and Kaitlynn Schultz, Laurynn, Mackenzie, Joshua, Justin, and Hannah Rogers, along with his great-nieces and nephews.
Bud was an avid musician, sharing his passion for music by playing with his brothers, Wayne and Rich, and his nephew, Christopher. He was also a devoted sports enthusiast, proudly supporting his favorite team, the Buffalo Bills.
Professionally, Bud dedicated many years to serving as a Grounds Crew Supervisor at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, where he was recognized for his hard work and commitment.
