Geneva NY: Gail Marlene “Clarky” Carter, 75, of Geneva, passed away
on Thursday,
January 14, 2016, quietly at home. Gail was born in Geneva and was a life-long resident. She was the daughter of Orion “Red” and Neva Clark of Geneva. She enjoyed a Twenty Five year career with The American Can Co., in Geneva, N.Y.
She is survived by her three sons,
Todd
, Steve (Sue) and William J “Bj” Carter Jr., all of Geneva; her sister Janice (Richard) Close of Geneva; her brother Douglas (Betty) Clark of Tenn; six grandchildren: Taylor, Danny, Ashley, Alyssa,Anthony and Colin James Carter; her “special daughters” Joell Anthony of North Rose, and Ann Tirabassi of Canandaigua; her Twelve nieces and nephews; her father in-law Jack B (Joan) Carter of Miss.; and sister in-law Mary Ann Greco of Geneva.; her brother in-law Tony Greco Sr; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, William J “Billy Joe” Carter; brother Ronald (Lois) Clark; mother in-law Josephine Salone; her brother in-law Rueben”Tony” Carter, all of Geneva; and her nephew James “Jimmy” Clark of Potter.
Friends are asked to join her family for a Funeral Mass
on Friday, January 22nd,
10:00 a.m.
, at St. Stephen’s Church in Geneva. There are no prior calling hours. There will be a family burial in the spring. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the Geneva Community Center, on Carter Road immediately following her Mass.
