It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Helen Eisenhauer, at the age of 84. Helen, always known for her 'Helenisms' and her bright smile, was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, in May of 2024, and her parents Joseph and Sophie Stauber. She is survived by her brother John (Pat) Stauber.
Helen possessed a loving and nurturing spirit, always prioritizing the needs of her family and friends. She was a dedicated and hardworking individual who brought warmth and compassion to all her relationships. A lifelong resident of Rochester, she cherished the community where she was born and raised. Nonetheless, Helen enjoyed extensive travels with her husband, family, and friends, including trips to Europe, the Mediterranean, Egypt, and Israel.
Helen grew up Catholic, later in life became Born Again, and was a devout Christian. Helen found solace and guidance in her faith. She dedicated herself to daily prayer, interceding for her loved ones and anyone in need. Her devotion to her faith was evident in the countless notebooks filled with her Bible studies and the hundreds of letters she penned. Helen's passions extended beyond her faith, encompassing her love for antiques, art, and the creative expression of her own folk art.
Helen was a loving and caring mother to her four children, Michele (Russell) Johnson, Evelyn (Patrick) Lloyd, Gretchen, and Jacob. Helen helped raise her grandchildren, who she cherished, Nathaniel (Anj), Wyatt, Cody, Caitlyn, Macyn, Brynn, and Logan. Family unity was of utmost importance to her. She was a loving supportive wife to her late husband Walter.
Helen, a graduate of Nazareth Academy in 1958, shared a lifetime of love with her husband, Walter, for over 62 years, beginning with their marriage in 1961. A loyal friend and dedicated family member, Helen worked as a secretary within the family business. She found immense joy in supporting her children and grandchildren, particularly at their hockey games. Her culinary talents were legendary, especially her beloved breakfast sandwiches.
Helen's legacy of kindness and generosity will persevere in the hearts and lives of those she touched. Helen was known for her infectious laughter and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved.
