Ivy Lillian Jones, of Webster New York, was born October 30, 1921 in London, England, and died on September 18, 2013 at the age of 91.  Ivy was predeceased by her parents, William and Annie Hart, husband, Arndt Jones, and grandson, Bryan Halstead.  She is survived by her sister, Pamela Kennedy, her children, Carol Manning, and Rodney (Gale) Jones, grandchildren, Marc (Patty) Halstead, Lindsay (Michael) Leaty, and Carol Roselle, great grandchildren, Leaha Eidman, Jacob and Christopher Halstead, Kayla Halstead, and Alyssa and Austin Leaty, special nieces and nephews, Deborah Kennedy, Leland (Kim) Kennedy, Lisa, Nicholas, and Anthony Liberti, and many dear friends.

Ivy served in the British Land Army during WWII, and came to the United States in 1947.  She was a member of the Eastern Star.  Some of her hobbies were, knitting, crocheting, and poetry.  She enjoyed cooking, playing Scrabble, and listening to audio books.  Ivy never turned down an outing with family, neighbors and friends, especially ‘The Salt Road Gang’.  She loved to travel, and was known to pack a bag, and hit the road on a moments notice.
The family wishes to thank all those who assisted her in recent years.  Special thanks to Rochester General Hospital Acute Stroke Unit, The Visiting Nurse Service, and The Leo Center for Caring @ St. Ann’s Community for their excellent care and genuine compassion for Ivy, and her family.  Please consider donating to these organizations in lieu of flowers.

Ivy’s Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 28th, 10 A.M. at White Haven Memorial Park (please meet the family at the gate of the cemetery).
