Rochester, NY.: James A. Northrup, March 25, 2021, age 63.
Predeceased by his father, Robert; mother, Jane; and beloved sister, Deb (Jim). He is survived by his loving wife, Betsy; brothers Bob (Val), Doug (Julie), and his other brother Doug T. (Jo); children Tanya, Brittany (Tommy) and Curtis; grandchildren Giavanna, Olivia, Madelynn, Emma and TJ; and many nieces and nephews. And, of course, his special little buddy, Cocoa Puff; as well as many, many friends and family members.
He graduated from the School of Life with honors, as evidenced by his zest for living life to the fullest. No matter what obstacle he was confronted with, he faced it head-on. He was an avid bowler, even assisting other bowlers when he was unable to bowl himself. His true passion was racing. If it had a motor, he would race it. He was a kidney transplant survivor. He was passionate about supporting the Organ Donation drive.
A special thank you to his Care team. He held a special place in his heart for Dr. Matt Gross and Dr. Mohammed Karim, who always went above and beyond for him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Mendon Ponds Park, East Lodge.
