Rochester NY: March 12, 2016. Jasper Dave McCarver Hannah aka Keebie was born October 16, 1944 to the late Ernest and Creasie Hannah in McCool, MS. Jasper was preceded in death by; his son Dwayne, two brothers Lee Andy and Leon Hannah; one sister Annie Ray Hannah.
Jasper was educated in the Spay, Choctaw County School system. After high school Jasper moved to Rochester, NY and was employed by the Eastman Kodak Company/Monroe Community Hospital. On September 14, 1974, Jasper married Shirley Valion. Jasper’s hobbies included: motorcycle riding, fishing, listening to music and singing. He was well known in the Hearing Impaired Community as loving and gregarious.
Although Jasper was baptized as a child, He recently rededicated his life to the Lord. He insisted on leading the family in prayer before leaving family gatherings. He spent his last days studying the word of God and singing praises to the Lord.
Jasper leaves to cherish his memories five sons; Michael, Jasper, Jamir, Amir and Valadmir; two daughters Brenda Robinson and La’Kena Curry ; Nine grandchildren and Six great-grandchildren; all of Rochester, NY. Four sisters: Ernestine Kennedy and Marlin Ashford of Ackerman, MS; Thelma Wilburn, Houston, TX ; Willnia Reavis of Rochester, NY, One sister-in-law Helen Hannah of Rochester, NY, A host of Nieces, Nephews, family and friends.
Jasper’s Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 10 A.M. At Powerhouse Kingdom Cathedral CIGIC, 48 Clifton Street, Rochester NY 14608. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
