Jojuana Lee Cliff, age 62, of Avon, NY, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2025.
Jojuana grew up in Avon as the eldest of five sisters. She graduated from Avon Central High School in 1980 and joined the Army Reserves, a path she was very proud of. Jojuana was an incredibly hard worker. After receiving an honorable discharge, she entered the workforce and later attended the Continental School of Beauty, becoming a talented cosmetologist by trade—all while raising her young family.
Jojuana’s true calling was caring for others. She was resourceful, creative, and skillful, with a gift for making something out of nothing. She always found a way to help anyone in need, no matter the circumstances. Her home had an open-door policy, especially during the holidays, ensuring that friends received hot, home-cooked meals from her kitchen. Her generosity and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jojuana is survived by her loving fiancé, David Davis, and her cherished cat, Zoey; her children, Martine (Matt) Cady, Erica Bailey (Brian Smyth), Thadeus (Alexis) Cliff, and Trevor Cliff; her mother, Sister Mary (Bachoffer) DeSales; her sisters, Ann (Chris) Rumfola, Lori (Patrick) Casey, Sara (Doug) Kohn, and Marijo (Jim) Hodges; grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Owen, and Hunter; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Jojuana’s life on May 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Avon Village Hall, 74 Genesee St., Avon, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Jojuana’s memory to Livingston County Hospice or to Pancreatic Cancer Association of Western New York.
