Linda Lee Henderberg (Goetz)

December 28, 1942 — February 9, 2025

Rochester

Linda Henderberg, 82, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, after an eight-year battle with a lung condition. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Roger, who passed in July 2024. Born in 1942, Linda built a remarkable life centered around family, faith, hard work, and a passion for exploring the world. She had a successful career offering secretarial services to clients in Rochester, NY. She also raised her sons in Rochester and the family spent summers on Sodus Bay making memories, when not vacationing in the Adirondack Mountains.

After retiring to Winchester, VA in 1997, Linda and Roger embraced their community wholeheartedly. They served as museum docents, dedicated themselves to volunteer work at Redland Church, and cherished the friendships they built along the way. Linda found joy in collecting elephants and Star Trek memorabilia, book clubs and game nights, and always making time for laughter and connection with friends. She had an adventurous spirit, traveling extensively throughout her life, with a special love for trips to Hawaii. Linda will be deeply missed by her sons, Jason (Karen) and Darrin (Beth), and her grandchildren, Elyssa and Beckam. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy LaHaye, and her brother, Rick Goetz (Nancy).

Linda’s kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. A celebration of her life will be planned for the weekend of June 28 in Rochester. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Seneca Park Zoo elephant exhibit in her honor.
