Her great passion in life besides her family was cooking which included a position at Asher’s, a candy factory, and her last position as a chef at Mirabella, specializing in Italian dishes such as meatballs, both in Philadelphia where she lived for 65 years before moving to Rochester in 2019. She loved bowling, traveling, and going to casinos where she usually had luck raking in money! She also was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. The family would like to thank the Strong Hospital Palliative/Hospice unit and the team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and the interpreting team for taking such good care of Louise in her last weeks of life.
There will be a memorial service in Philadelphia, to be announced later and burial of her ashes along with her husband’s ashes in West Virginia where they grew up.
