Loyle Frederick Egger, age 93, left this world on October 25, 2022. Loyle was predeceased by his wife and love of his life, Joyce “Chickie” Robb Egger, his daughter Cynthia Taylor, and son-in-law, Tom Devine, his sister Evelyn Johnson, and his parents.
He is survived by daughter Marsha (Tom) Devine; granddaughters, Kimberly E. (Brian) Devine-Brink and their children Reece and Aiden, Rebecca L. (Thomas) Devine Godbee and their daughter Teagan, and Kelly A. Devine and her children, Dylan, Evie and Grayson; Cynthia’s children Christopher, James, and Mark; and nieces Linda, Diane, Carol and nephew Mark.
Loyle was born in Penn Yan, NY to Fred and Alice (Rogers) Egger on January 25, 1929. He grew up in St Albans, NY and joined the US Navy serving at the end of WWII and during the Korean War as an Electronics Technician. He was a part of the UN efforts at peace talks with the Israelis and Arab League at the end of WWII and served at the Sands Point office of Naval Research during the Korean War. He worked as an electronics engineer and general manager for Telecraft Electronics and General Microwave Corp. on Long Island, NY
Loyle and Joyce retired to the Finger Lakes in 1988 and became active members of Lakeside Country Club. They enjoyed ballroom dancing and were known for entertaining friends. An avid golfer, bridge, and pool player, Loyle continued to play bridge at the Moose Club and online through 2022. He played his last pool game with friends just ten days earlier.

A memorial celebration of life will be held by the family at a future date.
