Henrietta, NY: Marian J. Lubba died at her home Monday, September 14 with her family at her side.
Predeceased by her parents, Merle and Dorothy Nevinger and her sister, Hazel Costantini. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Rev. David P. Lubba; her children Kim M. Evans, Nathan D. (Lori) Lubba and Debra S. Regnier; her eight grandchildren and her eleven great-grandchildren; her sister Leona Kolberg; two sisters-in-law Marlene Goodwin and Joanne Lubba; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was an active member of Asbury First United Methodist Church, Rochester, NY. For years she served as a volunteer at the church’s Dining and Caring Center. Currently, she was serving as Receptionist at the church’s Storehouse. She was also serving as a member of the church’s Intercessory Prayer Group.
She, along with her husband, served United Methodist Churches in Tonawanda, Westfield, Penfield and East Aurora. They also served a nine year appointment as missionaries of the United Methodist Church in the Republic of the Philippines.
A Memorial Service will be held at Asbury First United Methodist Church, Rochester, NY in the spring. Memorial gifts may be made to the Church at 1050 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14607. Please designate ‘ Marian Lubba Asbury Storehouse’.
