Marilyn Grace Hardy Mould

d. October 23, 2018

Passed peacefully Tuesday October 23, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her husband John D. Mould, MD and grandson Christopher Mould.  Marilyn is survived by her three children Mary Beth (Robert) Kahn, Jack (Ann McMican) Mould and Peggy (Ernie) Hanna, and beloved grandchildren Rachel Kahn (Corey O’Brien and Charlie June), Emily (Jeffrey and Milo) Denoncour, Martha Hanna (Cody Mason), Roy Hanna (Julie Kozeracki) and Leah Mould, brother-in-law Harvey Sarles and many dear nieces and nephews.  After graduation from Syracuse University, Marilyn married John, growing their family and supporting his medical practice in Geneseo, NY (1954-1977) and Rochester (1977-1988).  Marilyn cherished relationships with family, neighbors, church members, and fellow activists in social justice, environmental, and peace movements.  She and John were active members of the Downtown United Presbyterian Church (DUPC), the Sanctuary Movement, and involved in prison justice through the Judicial Process Commission.  The family is grateful for the loving care provided to Marilyn by the staff and volunteers at the Rochester Presbyterian Home and Hospice.

A Service celebrating Marilyn’s life is planned for Saturday, November 24 at 10 am at DUPC, 121 N. Fitzhugh St. Rochester, NY 14614.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to DUPC, the Rochester Presbyterian Home or the Judicial Process Commission.
