Marilyn R. Weissend

d. March 10, 2020

Marilyn Ruth Weissend, 84 of Webster, NY passed on at the Shepherd Home on March 10, 2020.  Marilyn was a cherished wife and mother, and a beloved nursing instructor at Monroe Community College. She was born January 5, 1936 to Ruth and Edward Magin in Rochester, NY. She married the love of her life, Dion Weissend, on August 3 1957. She had a way that made everyone feel special.

She was kind, soft-spoken and gentle but a warrior when it came to battling cancer. Her steely resolve lead to an abundant and joyous life for over 35 years after her diagnosis. She adored her family: Her sons Kurt, Paul, and Eric Weissend and daughter Ruth Boddery, Her siblings: Charles, Edward and Barbara Magin and Doris Hoey. She was a loving grandmother to Ariana, Renee, Erica, Teresa, Mary Genevieve, Grey, Madelaine, Grace, Wesley and Eli Weissend, Emma, Ben and Cole Boddery. She leaves four great grandchildren, Ronah Boddery Fraser, Wesley and Remi Boddery and Lewis Schafman.
