Marion Lee Gerych passed away on December 24, 2020 in Pittsford, N.Y.
Marion was born in Kearny, N.J. to the late William Gerych, and Jean (Zarudsky) Gerych on December 27, 1943 as the oldest of 4 children. Marion graduated from Haverling Central School in 1962 and created the cover of her senior yearbook. She graduated from college from R.I.T. in Rochester, N.Y.
Marion was known to be a gentle spirit and a talented and accomplished artist. She could use the fine details of color, shape, and texture in her drawings and paintings. She loved flowers and enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of walking through Maplewood Rose Garden in Rochester, N.Y. Marion taught junior and senior high school art in the Rochester City School District for over 35 years. She shared her love of art with her many students whom she enjoyed. She also held a tender spot in her heart for animals and children.
Marion is survived by her mother, Jean Gerych; brothers Robert Gerych of Bath, N.Y.; William (MaryAnn) Gerych of Corfu, N.Y.; sister Susan (Richard) Krucher of Webster, N.Y., as well as an extended family of loving aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces. Family and friends will meet at a later date to remember and celebrate Marion’s life. Burial occurred at Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, N.Y.
