Mary L. Nahar

Mary Leeson Nahar(Mimi) passed away peacefully on March 23rd 2025 at the age of 90 with her favorite son by her side. She was born on December 4th 1934 in Rochester NY to the late John Francis Leeson and Louisa Sommer Leeson. 

Mary was employed by Eastman Kodak before she left to start a family. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Charles Nahar. Two brothers, Tom Leeson and Charles Leeson. 

She is survived by her two sons, Brad (Micaela) Nahar and Brian Nahar, two grandchildren, Amanda Nahar and Adam Nahar, step-grandchildren, Brandy (Joe) Redlinski, Daniel (Marissa Peterson) Kyler, Asya (Jake Thompson) Kyler and two others. 18 step-greatgrandchildren and 5 step-great-greatgrandchildren. Two sisters, Elizabeth Leeson-Pike of Ossian NY and Louisa Ann Leeson of Rochester. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Mary loved socializing with her neighbors wherever she lived and she was always there for her family and friends no matter what they needed. She cherished her family deeply. She enjoyed reading, baking, watching sports, and listening to old country music. The family wishes to thank Dr. John Robb, who always went out of his way for the family. The 4400 wing at Unity Hospital and the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. 

There will be a memorial service Saturday, April 12th at the Riverside Cemetery, 2650 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY, 14612 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, those wishing can make donations to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center at 2652 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY, 14626 or go online.
