Mary Alice Matteson 10/11/43 passed away peacefully on 3/29/25 Rochester NY. Pre deceased by parents Ed and Ruthann (Hogan) Bates. Brothers Jack, Bob and Jerry Bates, Rich Naas. Survived by her children Mick(Karen) Howell, Kelli Howell, Shelli (Dave)Biehler. Grandchildren Tyler (Sarah),Brett, Carter Howell, Gary and Riley Williams, Jackson Biehler. Great grandchildren Parker and Cooper Howell. Brothers Don (Marie) Mike (Dolly) Tom (Patty)Bates. Sisters Ruthann Bates, Janet (Lee) Miller. Many nieces nephews, cousins and friends to numerous to count. Also survived by her former husband Les Howell father of their children. MaryAlice will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She greeted everyone with a smile and positive vibe. We are all better off because she was in our lives. 

No prior calling hours. Funeral services held privately. A special thank you to Shirley Barnes at St John’s for her wonderful care over the last couple years.
