Michael T. Connelly “Mike” was born in Detroit 8/12/1945, the youngest of 3 boys. He graduated from U of Windsor in Ontario where he made life-long friends. He met Margo, his devoted wife of 55 years, in college. They raised their twin daughters, Michelle (Richard) Skuse and the late Kelly (Guy Moreschi) in Rochester. He is survived by his brother Rick (CT), granddaughter Vivian Moreschi and her Mom Jamie George; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother Peter (CA).
Mike had a gift for Finance and worked as a commercial lender for many area banks. He shared his gift generously with his parishes, Sheen Housing, and many friends who sought his counsel.
Family and Friends were a priority. Mike was a fun-loving Irishman, and enjoyed parties, cards, horseshoes, and golf (a duffer par excellence!). Travel was primarily to visit family and friends, though he enjoyed the Caribbean and Florida in early Spring.
Mike’s family is grateful to his wonderful caregivers and the friends who supported him throughout his life, especially in the last year of his life. Special thanks to the Veterans’ Administration Home Based Team, Rochester Regional Hospice, and the aides who lovingly cared for him, body and spirit. He was blessed to die at home on 9/23/24.
