Michele Dame

d. June 13, 2024

Michele Rene (Roelle) Dame, age 60, of Henrietta, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2024. She was born on September 7, 1963, to Clifford and Betty (Kent) Roelle, and was one of six siblings: Clifford Jr. (deceased), Sue, Ralph (deceased), Chuck, and Tommy.  Michele impacted the lives of many: her siblings, daughters, grandchildren, cousins, sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Despite divorcing after 19 years of marriage, Michele remained close friends with her ex-husband, Wayde Dame. Together, they had four children, Alana Marie, Jennifer Lynn (deceased), Rebecca Sue, and Gabrielle Lea.  They cherished family gatherings with their three children and their spouses, Alana (Jason Smigelskis), Rebecca (Paul Seidler), and Gabrielle Lea Dame, and seven grandchildren, Tyrell, Tyrese, Tyrone, Liviana, Mabel, Leina, and Aaliyah. Michele spent many years as a stay-at-home mom before working at a local hardware store and later managing a motel in Manchester. She eventually found her passion in welding parts for airplanes at G.W. Lisk.

In Clifton Springs, Michele met her soul-mate, Donald Castle (deceased), with whom she shared a love for fishing until his passing in 2017. Known affectionately as Shelly or Grandma/Aunt Shell-Shell, Michele was admired for her qualities of unconditional love, fierce humor, and a delicate balance of strong will and caring nature. She had an empathetic mindset and was always there for loved ones in need. You could always count on Michele to pick up her phone to talk at any hour. Her best-friend and sister-in-law, Alane’ and cousin Edie could attest to this statement.

Michele enjoyed movies, doing impersonations, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her laughter and love will be deeply missed but will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Michele will be held at Henrietta Town Park, Roberts Lodge on June 28 at 3pm .  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Aneurysm and AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation) Research foundation @ https://taafonline.org/ .
