Nicolas W. Smokey

Rochester, NY February 19, 2025 at age 98 Nicolas is predeceased by his wife Rosalie (love of his life). He is survived by his children Sheila, Nikki, George Dana, Lisa, son-in-law Todd, daughter-in-law Beth and 5 grandchildren Noah, Rachel, Samantha, Liam and Asher. He was born in Red Wing, MN.

Nic was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp at the end of WWII. He worked for the Civil Aeronautics Administration before owning and operating Smokey’s Printing & Lithographing in Ripon, WI for many years. He retired from Tecumseh Power Products after more than 20 years as their Advertising Manager. Nic and Rosalie then moved to the Alabama Gulf coast where he enjoyed sailing his 42ft sailboat, traveling to Europe and Japan, playing bocce and enjoying his grandchildren.

Nicolas was always ready to assist his children when required, especially with home maintenance and building projects. He was an avid reader and Scrabble and dominoes player.
