Henrietta, NY: Nora Yvonne McGuire died peacefully after an illness in Hhghland Hospital on January 27th 2020 in Rochester, New York at the age of 77.
Yvonne is survived by her husband; Robert McGuire; children – Leonard McGuire (Sheila – spouse), Deborah McGuire, Tina Hargrove; siblings, Neil Foshee, Judy Foshee, Jeanette Foshee and J W Foshee
Grandchildren – John McGuire, Shawn McGuire (Amber – spouse), Kristin Jarvis, Ashley Norsen, Leila Norsen, Macy Hargrove, James Hargrove
Great Grandchildren – Rhyleigh Ross, Parker Yeager, Zooey Breeze, Dominik Mower.
Yvonne was born on April 11th 1942 in Paris, Arkansas to Martin and Flora Foshee. She graduated from High School in 1959. She married Robert McGuire, the love of her life on July 16, 1959. Over the next 7 years, the couple welcomed three children into their home, Leonard, Deborah, and Tina. She raised them with unquestionable love and taught them by example. Her children remember her as a kind, gentle, loving, and wonderful mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Yvonne was accomplished at sewing and more exotic forms of needle work. She enjoyed crafting and delighted everyone with her creations. She often made clothes and blankets for those she knew and loved. She was an accomplished cook and her Holiday kitchen was something quite special. She was a witty, kind, loving, wonderful individual who loved spending time with her husband. She was passionate about her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking and baking, and sewing anything from doilies to comforters.
The family have elected to have a private service at this time. There will be a remembrance celebration held for Yvonne on her birthday in April. The family will reach out to friends and relatives at that time.
Yvonne will be buried in her home state of Arkansas alongside her siblings.
