Patsy (Pat) Lynch-D’Amico

d. May 27, 2019

Gates, NY:  Patsy (Pat) Lynch-D’Amico began her new journey on 5/27/19.  Born Oct 6., 1939 in TN.

Predeceased by parents Ora and Sallie Anderson and husband Edward D. Lynch and her 5 brothers.

Survived by her devoted husband Arnold D’Amico, children Toni (Steve) Pinkston, Cindi (Jon) Williams, Gracen Lynch, Myles (Robyn) Lynch, and child in her heart, Marie Turcotte-Jones, Stepdaughters Kathie and Karen D’Amico; 12 grandchildren, Steven (Aubrey) Mowers, Elise Pinkston,  Kyle Mowers. Nate (Ally) Lynch, Carson (Nick) Lynch,  Emma (Kyle) Lynch, Sarah (Justin) Jopson,  Sean (Nicole) Williams, Kelly (Justin) Haak, Amanda (Chris) Jordan,  Nicole (Gene) Reznikov, Lisa Tedesco, Jacqueline Alaimo, 14 great grandchildren, all the kids who called her “Ma Lynch” over the years and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pat lived a lively childhood, enjoying music and dancing and singing above all.  She was a drummer and participated in drag racing as a teenager.

She moved to New York with her family at the height of the Civil Rights Movement, when she and Edward sided with the the Movement rather than with the KKK.

After Edward died Pat raised her four kids on her own, and as difficult as that was she did so with grace and aplomb.

Pat was lucky enough to find a second true love in her life with Arnie and they shared 20 great years together prior to her passing; he was the only man she met who could keep up with her on the dance floor!  They were season ticket holders for the Rochester Rhinos and the WNY Flash and they enjoyed many, many cruises, including a family reunion cruise with the whole family sailing the high seas.  Pat loved family gatherings! She enjoyed life long friendships with her buddies Sharon and Karen as well as many years of Mah Jongg with her girlfriends at the JCC and frequent lunches at Patty’s Pantry.  Pat remained very involved in making music, performing with the Greece Choral Society, appearing in many productions with Greece Performing Arts Summer Theater, and as a member of the Golden Link Folksinging Society.

Pat loved to live her life to the fullest and encouraged all of us to do the same.  She was, is and will always be about loving each other.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for VNS Hospice for always being there when we needed them and to Sean Williams for providing his wonderful cooking for her celebration. T hanks to Pastor Steve at Greece Baptist for making his space available on such short notice!
