Paul A. Bradford

d. March 19, 2017

Paul A. Bradford (Paulie), 84, Geneseo, NY but long time resident of Tampa, FL. Paul was surrounded by loved ones when he peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 19th, 2017. He was born on July 3, 1932, in Grand Rapids, OH at home to Cloyce and Grace (Roach) Bradford. He was raised in a loving home and played a lot of pranks on everyone. They were a hard-working family, but they laughed through life. Paul never met a stranger, he was inventive and could repair everything. Paul proudly served as a US Air Force, Private First Class during the Korean War. He had many stories about his missions and working on airplane engines. After discharge he was a police officer in Ft. Bragg, CA and later his mechanical skill transformed into auto body and mechanical work. He worked for years and retired at age 80 from Gagel’s Auto Parts, Tampa, FL.
His hobbies included watching NASCAR, fishing, and golfing. You could expect him to be drinking a Coors Light during every hobby. He dearly loved his favorite girl Kelly, his Puggle dog. She was with him clear to the end.
Survived by his daughters, Denise Brashear and husband Wayne, KY. Julie Magrum and husband Ted, CA. Jodi Beyer and husband Chris, NY. Paul had 3 step children who thought the world of him and considered him their true father. Jerry (Gary) Blackwelder, CA. Tom Zell, FL. and Brandi Zell, FL. His Grandchildren are Eli Brashear and wife Janice, Brian Magrum and wife Amanda, Matt Magrum and wife Dara and Kayla Bradford. He has 3 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Joyce Bradford Montion Schmuhl, and brother, Rollo (John) Bradford, Grandson, Timothy Brashear and granddaughter, Kelsey Leigh Bradford.
The family would like to send special thanks to Hospice for taking such beautiful care of our father. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the National Warplane Museum or Hospice.
