Phyllis Allene Rothfuss (Crandall) of Henrietta, New York passed away on April 12, 2020.
Phyllis graduated valedictorian from Sherman Central School in 1961. She then earned her BS degree from SUNY Albany in secondary education. Phyllis earned her Master’s at Penn State University in History. She taught junior high school history for over 30 years in the Rush-Henrietta School District. Phyllis loved reading and crafting and spending time with her family.
She was the beloved wife of Richard Rothfuss for 49 years. She is also survived by her two children; Dena Deats (Maurice) and Gerald Rothfuss of Arizona, Her three siblings; Mary Edwards of New York, Sally Vavala (Paul) of Pennsylvania, and Dale Crandall of New York. Other survivors include 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 nephew, 3 nieces, 4 grand-nephews, and 3 grand-nieces. She was also survived by a very special cat, Gabby.
Phyllis was a caring soul who could always see the good in people. She will be greatly missed.
