Pierrette Tabor

d. January 24, 2018

Pierrette Jeannine Tabor passed away peacefully in hospice care at Highland Hospital in Rochester New York, Friday, January 19 th 2018.  Pierrette moved to Rochester, 2 ½ years ago to fight colon cancer. She enjoyed two years of relative independence. We are grateful for her limited suffering.  Pierrette was born the middle child of 19 on October 25, 1937 in Lachute, Quebec to Joseph Adolphe Brosseau “Alpha” and Marie Emma Richer. Pierrette grew up in the Laurentian Hills of Quebec, her Mom ran an in-home grocery and her father raised honey bees.

She is preceded in death by two loving husbands, Paul E. Bouchard in 1969 and Kenneth W. Tabor in 2010. Pierrette Tabor is survived by her nine children. Christopher Tabor (Karen) Scottsville, NY, Kenneth Tabor (Kim) Colorado, Paul Bouchard (Bonnie) Pennsylvania, Patricia Lourenco (Steve) Rhode Island, Kathy Huntress (Bill) Mexico, Kelly Scenna (Sal) Florida, Karen Pringle (Sam) Michigan, Joanne Wilson (Frank, also deceased) Rochester, NY and  Kandee Tabor Rochester NY.  Pierrette Tabor has 21 grandchildren and 23 great grand children with potentially more to follow.

Pierrette will be remembered for her direct honesty, colorful phrases, her love of puzzles and her passion for bingo and cards. We will remember Mom, every time we sit around a bon fire.

The family is grateful for the staff of Brentland Woods for helping to provide her independence for the past two years,  and for U of R Palliative Care Department for her peaceful transition. In lieu of flowers or cards, contributions can be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
