Churchville: Reverend L. Everett Waite passed away peacefully Sunday, February 15 th in Rochester, NY. Everett was born on April 20, 1920, in Colton, NY. Throughout his ministry, Everett preached God’s love in more than 25 churches touching the lives of thousands. In his final years, he cherished life along the Racquet River, the smell of the air as he drove into St Lawrence County and his friendships at Legacy Village.   He shared his passion for woodworking with George Pixley. Everett is known for demonstrating God’s love with his positive outlook on life, first to his family and then to his fellow man as he knew no stranger.

Everett is the son of Rolla and Lila Waite of Pierrepont, NY. Predeceased by Clara (Cota) Waite, wife of 63 years. He is survived by his children, Nancy (Paul) O’Sullivan, Janice (Bill) Hoyt, Wayne (Christina) Waite, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Chili on Saturday, February 21 st at 3:00PM. A Memorial Service will also be held at Chili Legacy at 11:00 AM on February 21. For friends in Northern New York, a Memorial Service will be held at the Crary Mills Church at 10 am on July 3, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to the Crary Mills Presbyterian Church, 159 CT RD#35, attention Linda Seeger, Canton NY 13617. Everett began his ministry in Crary Mills. Donations may also be contributed to Shoulder to Shoulder, a Honduran mission whose US address is 3445 South Dixie Drive Dayton Ohio 45439. Everett demonstrated his leadership and commitment to serve the poor by participating in four trips to Honduras following his ninetieth birthday.
