Irondequoit: 7/18/17 at age 81. Predeceased by his brother Austin “Bud” Stephany and sons Scott and Rick. Survived by sons Greg (Laura) and Mark (Jen); sisters Mary Ann Huber and Dolores Young and Sister in law Lois Stephany, as well as many nephews, nieces, grand children and great grand children.Richard served in the US Marines during the Korean War. He was also a life member of the Laurelton Fire Dept. Of Richard’s many accomplishments, he was most proud of his 4 sons and friendships made in his almost 40 years with IBEW Local 86.
We would like to thank the staff at the Leo Center at St. Ann’s for their wonderful care and assistance in helping Richard make his peaceful transition. We would also like to thank the staff at Rochester General Hospital for helping Richard in his fight over the last 8 years.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday July 24 at 11:30am at St. Ambrose Church. Internment will be done at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Angels of St. Ann’s.
