Rochester, NY – November 16, 2019 at age 76 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by daughter Lisa (Steve, whom he called “Son”) Pavlovych; his “favorite ex-wife” (his words) Nancy Wilson (Sandra Koch, whom he treasured as a dear friend); grandchildren Christopher (Olivia) and Casie (Blake); his “other daughter” Karen Jackson; many nieces, nephews, loving family and friends. After leaving the corporate world, Bob drove a school bus for First Student for nearly 30 years. He adored the children, spoiling them with treats at every holiday. He loved his job and his “bus family”.
Bob loved animals, especially his dogs, Tommy, Cloe and Julius; his kitties Macy and Dixon, spoiling them so relentlessly that he was often teased for treating them better than humans. He also enjoyed sports, and was an outstanding bowler, golfer and softball player. He was a softball umpire for over 15 years locally and out of state, traveling as far as Georgia.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Wilmot Cancer Center and Fourth Floor Palliative Care Unit at Strong Hospital for their compassionate and loving care. Bob brought his humor and laughter wherever he went, making friends along the way. The family would like to say “Thank You” for all the support and love you have given him and his family.
Robert’s celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 26, from 4-8 pm at Braemar Country Club, 4704 West Ridge Rd, Spencerport, NY 14559. Please send donations to your favorite animal or cancer charity in Bob’s memory.
