Robert J. Lotta

Robert (Bob) J. Lotta, 81 years old, of Rochester, NY, passed away on May 23, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with COPD.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Carmela, his sisters and brothers Ida, Francis, Patrick, Tony, Donald, Vincent, Carmela, and Theresa, many sisters and brothers-in-law, and his granddaughter Chasity.
Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Paula; his three children Tammy (Jay), Robert, Tracy (Mike); “like a son” Tommy (Donna); stepchildren Angela (Bryan), Stephen (Tracy), Timothy (Phaeng); grandchildren Dina (Carmen), John (Candice), Nick (Cheyanne), Savannah (Aaron), Joshua, Brooke, Chase, Cameron, Kaymond, Devon, Kayla (Jeff), Tegan, Cassidy, Anthony, Isabella, Alexis, Stephen, Scott, Harleigh; great-grandchildren Melody, Harper, Cillian, Santino, Kennedy, Joselin, Blake, Jackson, Aubree, and Brantley; and his beloved puppy, Maya.
Robert was born on July 19, 1941, to Vincent and Carmela Lotta in Rochester, NY. After Robert graduated from Jefferson High School in 1960, he worked as a self-employed general contractor for over 50 years. Robert was always helping friends or family with house projects and was known for his willingness to be there for everyone. He loved to coach Vince Lombardi Football and Gates Youth Little League Baseball, and was known as a father figure to many.
Pre-service calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 30, from 10-11 AM at Greece Assembly of God Church, 750 Long Pond Road. Robert’s Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rochester Adult and Teen Challenge in honor of his granddaughter Chasity. This is a faith-based organization that specializes in helping individuals recover from drug addiction. Donations can be made at
