Shirley Bean

Shirley Ann Bean, of Rochester, New York, passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 87, after a long and brave battle with health issues.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Shirley Bean. While we mourn her loss, we find solace in the memories of the joy she brought into our lives. Shirley discovered happiness in life’s simple pleasures, often found spending evenings engaged in spirited rounds of cards with her husband, family, and friends. Her laughter was infectious, and she possessed a unique ability to engage anyone in delightful conversation or captivating storytelling, moments that would leave those around her smiling for hours.

Shirley found great joy in the camaraderie of games, especially Pinochle, and in the warmth of early morning chats, which created cherished memories that will remain in our hearts forever. Despite the deep sense of loss felt by all who knew her, we take comfort in knowing that Shirley is now at peace.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Wilson; her sons, Lawrence Bean and Eric Bean; as well as her grandchildren, Steven Wilson, Nicole Gifford, and LJ Bean, and her great-grandchildren.

Rest easy, Mom. Your love will forever resonate in our hearts, and your memory will never fade. A small gathering at the gravesite will be planned in the near future to honor and celebrate her life.
