East Rochester, NY: Stan passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 . Born and raised in Rochester, N.Y., “Stan the Music Man” will be remembered for his love of music, the occasional card game, his gentle-giant stature and many loyal friends. A self-taught man who could read a complicated electrical schematic, Stan loved all things music, from refurbishing a beat-up 1930s Juke Box to mint condition to organizing and listening to his stacks of records, reel to reels and CDs.
Independence and grit were in his DNA and he took pride in tackling those things that most challenged him in life. Stan was incredibly proud of his two daughters, Laura Holloway and Denise Chapman, his four grandchildren Drue Hyde, Hannah Hyde, Kyle Chapman, and Jason Chapman and his great-grandson Ryder Chapman. Never afraid of new technology, until the end of his he life he enjoyed calling, texting and Skyping with them often.
