Penfield, NY: June 21, 2022. Tom was the second of seven born to Susanna and Martin D Kelly of Pittsford. Tom is predeceased by his siblings Ellen Kelly, Patrick Kelly and John Kelly. He is survived by siblings Michael Kelly (Belinda), Joanne Conlon (Michael) and Sharon Kelly as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Tom spent his entire life in the Greater Rochester area working for his father with Kelly Homes and in sales with a variety of businesses throughout the area. He was a standout football and lacrosse player at Irondequoit High School in the late 60’s and went on to earn several honors playing lacrosse for the Aggies at Farmingdale State University on Long Island. Tom transferred on scholarship to the University of Maryland where he participated in the very first NCAA National Championship Lacrosse Game in 1971. Tom continued to be a diehard supporter of Maryland Lacrosse ever since.Tom was a 2016 Inductee into the US Lacrosse Greater Rochester Chapter Hall of Fame. In addition to being a strong supporter of Maryland Lacrosse he was also an avid Bills fan loved and cherished his Irish heritage.
A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held on August 12, 2022, from 4-6pm at the St Paul Fireman’s Exempt Club, 690 Thomas Ave in Irondequoit 14697.
