Fairport, NY: October 26, 2021. At the age of 90, survived by his loving Wife, Mary Ellen Olney (Miche), and his children, Margaret, Thomas (Amy Jo), Julie, Victoria, Shane (Jennifer), Trey and 17 grandchildren: Erik (Elissa), Jason, Ryan (Kyle), Maya, Emma, Chloe, Jesse (Trevor), Kurt (Alexandria), James, Pierce, Samantha, Tessa, Nevin, Brett, Derek, Catherine, and Caroline, along with 2 great grandchildren.
Dick attended Hobart College where he was the captain of the football team and graduated with a degree in economics.
A commissioned 2 nd LT in the Marine Corps, he served as a Platoon Commander in the 3 rd Marine Division and was stationed in Japan and Okinawa at the end of the Korean War.
In 1990, after a career in banking, Dick was a founding partner of Danrich Home, Inc.
Dick had a commercial pilots license, was a glider pilot, and enjoyed sailing, skiing, shooting, hunting, and fishing. He served on the Town of Perinton Zoning Board of Appeals.
On Thursday, November 4, there will be a private service for family members from 9-10 am at the Rochester Yacht Club, 5555 St. Paul Street, Rochester, NY. Friends are invited to join the family from 10am-12pm to celebrate Dick’s life.
