Penfield, NY:  Ginny passed away peacefully on November 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her father, Clifford Lippert. Virginia is survived by her mother, Dorothy Lippert; loving husband of 52 years, John Roome; Daughter, Alicia Holdridge (Chris); Son, Justin Roome; Four grandchildren, Daniel, Zach, Benjamin, and Seth; Brother, Robert Lippert (Pat) and two nieces. Ginny was a graduate of Leavenworth High School, Wolcott NY; graduate of State University at Albany; Math teacher for over 30 years in the Webster Central School District. Ginny was an avid reader, gardener, cook, baker, bargain shopper, holiday decorator, sewer, knitter, and so much more. She loved traveling with her husband, spoiling her grandchildren, spending time with her classmates, and enjoying outings with many friends.

Friends may call at Grace Church, PCA 805 Blossom Rd, Rochester, NY 14610, Tuesday, December 3rd, 4-7 P.M. where a service will follow at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shepherd Home*, 1959 Five Mile Line Rd., Penfield NY 14526 in Ginny’s memory.

*Shepherd Home is a non-profit organization that provides hospice care to serve the terminally ill and their families. The staff and volunteers at Shepherd Home took great care of Ginny and our family
