Gates NY: May 18, 1932 – September 19, 2016. Virginia Theresa Bauer – died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on September 19, 2016. She is predeceased by her father, Joseph Nunes; mother, Lenora Hoyt; step-father Martin Hoyt; beloved daughter, Elizabeth Dziedzic; brothers Joseph and James Nunes; brothers-in-law, John Pereira and Frank Stagnitto. Survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard Bauer; sons, James (Dee) Bauer, Dennis (Barbara) Bauer; son-in-law, John Dziedzic; grandchildren, Jessica Bauer, Amy (Mike) Prate, Jeremy (Jenna) Bauer, Tanner Bauer, Dalton Youngman, Trinity, Connor, Wade, and Wyatt Dziedzic; great-grandchildren, David and Elizabeth Prate, and Caden Bauer. Sisters, Mary Stagnitto, Loretta Pereira, Rita Nallin, and Linda Slabaugh. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and dear friends, MaryAnn Vaccaro and Mary Fiorito.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 27 at 9:30 AM at St. Theodore’s Church in Gates. No prior calling hours.
