Rochester, NY: Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 13, 2020. Zulma was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on January 6, 1951. She is predeceased by her Mother Candida Ramos Martinez, her spouse Felix Roman, and her 2 brothers Angel Ramos and Ramiro Ramos. She is survived by her Father Primitivo Ramos; Her 3 sisters Grisella, Leticia, Eneida and her 2 brothers Osvaldo and Frank.
Zulma was raised in Salinas, Puerto Rico and graduated from Instituto Tecnologico de Puerto Rico-Recinto de Ponce earning her degree in medical recording. At the age of 44, she moved her children to Buffalo, NY, finally settling in Rochester, NY at the age of 49 with her Fiance Julio Morales.
She leaves behind her 5 children; Yesenia (Teri) Roman, Felix (Martiza) Roman, Deborah (Alex) Roman, Gengies (Yary) Roman and Ricardo (Lymaris) Roman and her Fiance Julio Morales. She also leaves a great legacy of 18 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and countless “sudo” grandchildren. As well as, multiple nieces and nephews.
Zulma was a was a strong woman, who loved her family and had an amazing spirit. One of her many passions was cooking and spending time with her family. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her hobbies included collecting elephants , red roses and playing Bingo, to which she had amazing luck. She enjoyed reading and regularly watching the Buffalo Bills football games, as she was a devoted Buffalo Bills Fan. She spent her later years watching many of her grandchildren daily, and is known by everyone as Mama Zulma!
