In contemplating the loss of a dear friend, even more so.. family, We are reminded that life is a gift from God. It is meant to be lived, loved, and shared. Al you did this on a regular basis and it has been a blessing, A gift if you will, to have known and been touch by you.

    John 14:1-3

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Though our hearts are heavy we must continually remind ourselves that you are in a better place; that the Lord has you; and we thank Him for allowing us to be blessed with your presence.

You will be missed and loved; all the memories we shared will always be remembered and you are truly one of a kind.

    All our Love and Prayers
    Lew, Francine, Lewis & Michael

My deepest condolences goes out to the Volk family; Mary Lou & Eric. My prayers and thoughts will always be with Al V. & Mary Lou.

Well Al, I never through I would be penning these words so soon to my best friend. For many, many years; day after day we talked, on the phone, hanging out or just a few minutes getting together. Losing you from my life will change my life forever and not having my brother to talk to will leave an open wound that will never heal.

Al V. was an old school, stand up person who believe in Respect and Loyalty. His number 1 concern in life was taking care of his wife Mary Lou and everyone of Al’s decisions were made with Mary Lou’s wellbeing first and foremost. The people closest to Al knew how loving and protecting he was and made most feel welcome.

One thing I can say with firm conviction is the peace Al made with Himself & the Lord over the last several years. So in my heart I do believe the father has a room prepared for Al in heaven.

I’m going to miss my brother, my best friend, my running partner, but I know through faith that Al is now with his Mom, Dad & Sister and he is ok. We are all sadden by Al’s death, but be comfort to know Al V. has prepared himself for this time and has told me so over the last several months.

So Al I’m not going to say good bye forever; just for now and I will see you on the flip side ….. Remember the one thing we said Al “ always make your first bet on Black”.

    Love you Al …… Geno

To the family and friends of Mr Volk, I would like to extend my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear loved one. I also have lost, and losing members of my family to cancer, I understand the grief and sorrow that you are feeling at this time. During times as this, many have found a measure of comfort in the pages of the Bible. In God’s word, the Bible, we we find the promise that we can be reunited with our loved ones (John 5:28,29). It also tells us where this happy reunion will take place (Psalm 37:11,29). Until then, may you be strengthened and comforted by the promises of Our Creator as you cope with the difficult days ahead (philippians 4:6,7;2 Corinthians 1:3.4).

He was always so thoughtful and grateful for everyday and everyone in his life. He will be missed dearly. I’ll never forget your wedding, how handsome he looked and how emotional that day was. I have so many great memories that I will always remember. Al was one of the most genuine and caring person I knew. Prayers for you and your family.
