Pittsford NY: Thursday, November 24, 2016 at age 81. Born January 2, 1935, Jamestown, NY to Clair H. Culver, MD and Pauline Volk Culver. Predeceased by siblings Irene Jones, Col. James V. Culver, and Marilyn Tienvieri. She is survived by her husband, Allan C. Anderson, their children Todd Culver (Pamela) and Emily Ann, grand daughters Laci Lynn and Kaci Marie Anderson, and great grandson Nolan Wyatt Anderson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Polly graduated from the Falconer, NY High School and Stephens college, Columbia, MO 1955 with a degree in fashion design. She was a Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a creative artist with food, fabric, flowers and paints. Loved to entertain and volunteer. She was a costume designer and conservator for Pittsford Musicals, Eastman School Opera, Genesee Country Museum, and the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. She served as President and Advisory Board member at the Hershey Museum and Gardens, Hershey, PA. Board member of the Ronald McDonald House, Hershey, PA and Planned Parenthood, Rochester, NY. She was a member and volunteer at Third Presbyterian Church, Rochester, NY and was a charter member of Hunt Hollow Ski Club, Naples, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Third Presbyterian Church, The Alzheimer’s Association, or the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
Memorial service to be at Third Presbyterian Church on Friday, December 2 at 2:00 pm, reception to follow.
