My dear friend Ann. Oh how I miss discussing film and current events, eating out, celebrating our birthdays and Christmas…Seems like we never ran out of things to talk about. So any many laughs that made me cry. You were always honest and great fun to be with. I love and miss you Ann. I can now call your Jim a good friend.

Ann and I knew each other since 1st Grade at Our Lady of Good Counsel school. We lived one street apart, and ran into each other often, on Thurston Rd., when we walked back and forth to school. We were in many of the same classes, and in 6th Grade we became best friends.
We’ve been best friends ever since. She’s been there for me for 58 years of my life. I will miss her more than anyone, ever. She had so many good qualities! A loyal friend, an available friend, funny, smart, interesting. She was a breath of fresh air, always sharing her own unique point of view, always making those around her feel eager to examine how they really felt about different aspects of life.
We had many of the same favorite rock and roll bands, from The Monkeys, to The Beatles, to Jethro Tull, Jesus Christ Superstar Rock Opera, Tommy and The Who’s Rock Opera, and countless others. We both loved Lesley Duncan. She was one of our all time favorites! Simon and Garfunkle, James Taylor, Carly Simon.
We loved so many of the same films, and saw so many together!
Ann’s parents always treated me like a special person and I grew to love them. I miss them dearly.
I think about Ann every day. Her boyfriend Jim and I have become reaquainted since Ann’s passing and share our stories about Ann and our sorrow.
Ann believed in “Spirit Guides” and I hope to be one of the privileged people whom she guides until I join her in the afterlife. Ann had good, moral character, always. She didn’t gossip about others, she loved and cared about people, especially her immediate family, including her brother Tom’s family! She was proud of them and loved them deeply.
I am proud to have Ann as a friend, and will continue to hold onto that love and pride until my dying day.

A bit late, but am devastated to hear is Ann’s passing. What a good friend she was to you and to “our” Penhurst gang! Ann always was special to me. When i saw her at our OLGC reunion I couldn’t believe how good she looked! Just like I remember her at school, or playing pool or ping pong in my basement after school. May she rest in Peace and be in the arms of our Lord. Rest in eternal Peace Ann!

It’s been one week since we put my beautiful girl to rest.
    To Ann’s family:
You opened the door and Annie led me in to be part of her family; to be a member of her family.
Your grief has been profound. With all that was going on, you did not have time to mourn, but mourning is timeless. You just being here has brought more comfort than you could know.
To Ann: You were the center of my life, and when you had to leave, left a giant hole that can’t be filled. You were my partner, companion and confidant. You were there when I needed you. You were my girlfriend and my best friend. I tell you each day that I love you and miss you. No truer words can be said
