Anne Virginia (Neff) O’Neill

Anne Virginia O’Neill - Rochester, NY - Rochester Cremation

Rochester, NY: February 5, 1931 – March 12, 2020.  Anne Virginia O’Neill passed away peacefully March 12, 2020 at age 89. Anne is predeceased by her parents Raymond Porter and Wilhelmenia Hortense (Fox) Neff and son David J. Renner. She is survived by daughters Gayle Renner and Lee Anne Diehl; sons, Robert (Carol) Renner, John Renner and Patrick (Adrienne) O’Neill, several grandchildren including Mallory O’Neill and Lindsay Raymer to whom she was a second Mom and several great grandchildren including her beloved Blaise Campbell.

Anne’s greatest pleasures in life were being a Mom, grandmother and great grandmother. With six children of her own it was not always easy. During the 1960’s, having married a second time she happily added John O’Neill’s four children to our household for several years; Michael O’Neill, Shirley (O’Neill) Kirchgessner, Dawn (O’Neill) Nesary and Peggy (O’Neill) Anderson.

A special Thank You to Jennifer Morrow and Suzanne Maio R.N. with Lifetime Care Hospice, the staff at Episcopal Church Home and Joe Donafrio P.A. for your compassionate care given to Anne and for the support and guidance given to our family members.

Services will be held privately.

As I’ve said before, Anne did her best to take of 10 children when I was a part her family. Over the years we kept in touch and I loved her. I thank God that he has taken her home, where there will be no suffering or pain. May she rest in Peace.❤

What a houseful she took on. I remember how Anne loved to have me brush her hair while she laid on the sofa. She also liked to dress Dawn and I in the same outfits only different colors. We probably complained but now I can see how that was easier for her. (there were ten of us after all) I will miss getting my annual Christmas card, she hasn’t missed once in several years. The family is all in my prayers as this journey without her begins.
