Gates, NY: Passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the age of 94. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Colleen; children, Karen (Max) Sauer, John (Cindy) MacMillan and Steven MacMillan; brother, Jack (Shirley) MacMillan of Florida; grandchildren, Thea, Cammie and Lonnie; many nieces and nephews.
Archie came to this country when a young boy from Scotland to eventually make Rochester, NY his permanent home. He was one of the last surviving veterans of World War 2 serving faithfully in the Army until discharged. He was an avid sportsman and an accomplished bowler and golfer winning many tournaments over the years. His family fishing trips to the Thousand Islands were the best part of many summer vacations for his children. He leaves many warm memories behind and will be remembered fondly by those close to him for years to come.
