Barbara “Barb” Robertson

Barbara "Barb" Robertson - Rochester Cremation

Rochester, NY : September 6, 2022

Barbara is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 43 years, Ricky “Big Rick ” Robertson. Daughters Danielle Robertson, Stephanie Coon. Son Ricky Robertson Jr. Grandchildren Dakota, Alexis, Ricky the III, Christina, Shawn and David. Sisters Nancy and Sandy. This tragedy has also affected the significant others of the children Galina, Richard and Dre.

Momma was one of the most loving, caring, empathetic, selfless, sweetest people that you could have ever had the pleasure to meet. She really enjoyed her animals, bbq’s, family gatherings, camping, going to the races, cooking for people, being a caregiver. One of her most favorite things to do was take care of her garden. She also loved watching the Buffalo Bills with my dad, loved the color purple, anything sparkly, getting her nails done, Florida and going to beaches. She was a talker, she would conversate with anyone who would engage. Such a sweet soul.

Mom had been in pain for most of her life however she never stopped pushing herself. People would ask her why she would never relax or sit down and eat her dinner while it was hot, her reply would be “I can’t, I need to do this for someone ” whoever it might be. Mom was a firecracker, she spoke her mind and people loved that about her. She was loved by so many people. She raised 3 of her own children, 3 out of 6 Grandchildren and had a big hand in the lives of multiple daycare children she took care of. All of whom she would drop whatever she was doing so that she could tend to their needs. Mom fought as hard as she could, all the way to the end.

Thank you to all of the hospital personnel that cared for our loved one. A special thanks to the 2 ladies who advocated for her when Noone else felt the need. Ann Syrett NP and Colleen Feeney. You both treated our whole family with sincere empathy and respect as if we were your own family. For that we are eternally grateful!

…And ye now therefore have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh away

-John 16:22 (KJV)
