Monday, March 28th, 2022 at age 83. Bea is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Josephine Gianforti; her infant son, Alec; and her brother, Frank Gianforti. Survived by her husband of 63 years and best friend, Paul Robinson; daughter Susan (Joseph) Leighton; son Michael (Kelly Johnson) Robinson; grandchildren Nathan Robinson, Sarah Robinson, and Gawain (Emily Selman) Robinson; and many other family and cherished friends.
Bea graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1956 and went on to attend Buffalo State University. Bea worked for Dollinger Corporation prior to her marriage and until the birth of her first child, then was a stay at home mom until her children were in school full-time. Bea then returned to work at Rochester Mental Health Center, first as a volunteer and then as a paid employee assisting in the treatment of persons struggling with heroin addiction. Bea began a second career serving 19 years as Co-Manager at Matthew’s Closet, a clothing ministry of Corpus Christi Church. Bea will be remembered as a woman of exceptional grace, strength, good humor, and generosity.
The family is grateful to Dr. Luis Postigo for caring for Bea in her home for the past five years. Memorial contributions may be made to Matthew’s Closet. No calling hours, a celebration of Bea’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
My condolences to Paul and the family. I pray that in your loss, you are drawn closer to Jesus Christ. He will sustain you through this difficult time.
Oh Paul, may Jesus ease your pain as He welcomes home Bea. A compassionate and kind woman, she’ll be missed by so many. I’m sorry, and hopeful that years of memories will help you in the coming days. Love from Mary Ann Brophy’s sister Marge
