Betty Hopkins (Richens): 11 July, 1932 to 15 June 2022. Predeceased in 2010 by her loving husband of 52 years, Murray James and brother Jack Richens. Survived by daughter Lori (Keith) Davis, sons John (Cheryl) Hopkins and James (Elizabeth) Hopkins; grandchildren Colin, Caitlin, Alicia and Brianna Davis; Courtney, Christina, Alison and James Hopkins; brother Frank (Louise) Richens; many brothers/sisters in law and nieces and nephews.
After graduation from John Marshall High School, she worked at Strang, Bodine, Wright and Combs then went to Color Print & Processing at Eastman Kodak. She served 18 years as secretary to the Rochester Women’s Bowling Association and was a director of the New York State Women’s Bowling Association. She was elected to both associations’ Halls of Fame. She served on the Service Board of the Rochester Presbyterian Home and was an Elder/Clerk at Irondequoit Presbyterian Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 16th at 1:00 pm at Irondequoit Presbyterian Church, 2881 Culver Rd. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to The Rochester Presbyterian Home or Irondequoit Presbyterian Church.
