Rochester, NY:  Beverly Anne Thilking (Reel), passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital on September 27, 2019 at the age of 74, surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.

Beverly was born in Gettysburg, PA on April 11, 1945 to the late Donald Reel and Mildred Beattie. She is survived by her daughters Jacky Thompson of Livonia, NY, Debby Walker of Macedon, NY and Cherie Salmeto of Howell, MI; grandchildren Brandon Thompson (Tracy) of Livonia, NY and Alyssa Thompson of Livonia, NY; great-grandchildren Adrianna Thompson, Anahlia Strickland and Koda Strickland; sisters Donna McCarthy of Milford, DE and Jacky McCabe of Fairport, NY, and many nieces and nephews.  She lived her life in several states; Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, and Florida.

Beverly was a strong-willed woman who persevered and lived life through simple pleasures; chatting with family and friends, organizing the bingo games at the community center where she lived, spending quiet time with her dogs (most recently Kailey), and enjoying potlucks with her friends. She also enjoyed caring for children, from raising her three daughters and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren to providing childcare after retiring from Ford Motor Credit.  Before that, she also had a long career with Xerox Corporation. Beverly was an extremely caring, giving, loving woman who would always give selflessly to anyone in need.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will take place in her honor at The Legends at Whitney Town Center, 100 Clear View Trail in Fairport, NY on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 in the community room on the ground floor.  As Beverly was an advocate for animals, in lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be sent to The Mia Foundation, helping animals born with birth defects, at www.themiafoundation.com or via mail at The Mia Foundation, 3177 Latta Rd #188, Rochester, NY, 14612.  Please feel free to share a memory with the family or leave a condolence, please visit www.rochestercremation.com.

My sincere condolences. Bev was there for me many years ago at Xerox. We remained in touch thru Facebook. She was a very sweet and positive person. May peace be found in memories of her. I know how difficult this is. ❤️

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I wrote her a long email just days ago but it was too late for her to have received it. Thinking of you always my little SHS classmate. We share a lot of good memories.
