Honeoye, NY: Passed away peacefully at her home April 25, 2017 after courageously battling a long illness. Preceded in death by her parents, Curt & Velma Akers; sisters, Joyce Akers Clark, Nona Akers Williams; brothers, Gary Akers Sr, Dayton Hall; She is survived by her loving son, Herbert C. Bowden of Rochester, NY; granddaughters, Cierra, Breanna Bowden of Bloomfield, NY; husband, Steven Fox; stepsons, Richard Fox, Michael (Brielle) Fox; granddaughter, Kayla; grandson, Mason Fox; brothers, Richard Akers of Jamestown, TN, Victor (Diana) Akers, Craig (Linda) Akers of Rochester, NY; Sisters, Teresa Akers of Hendersonville, TN, Karen Akers of Olive Branch, MS, and Pamela (James) Sutton of Gallatin, TN; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
At Brenda’s request, private celebrations of her life will be held in both NY and TN, at a later date.
