Cathy Morsch of Lima, NY, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 71. In her departure, she leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories and a legacy of love that will forever resonate with those fortunate enough to know her.

Cathy was predeceased by her loving husband, William Morsch, and a constellation of family members who now welcome her into their arms. She is now reunited with her father, Robert Fuhrmann; her mother, Louise Morse; her stepfather, Leroy Morse; her sister, Carol M. Kuchman (Fuhrmann); and her brother, Carl “Butch” Fuhrmann. Their love continues to inspire and guide her spirit as it ascends to eternal peace.

Cathy’s vibrant life touched the hearts of many, particularly her children: son Glen Sutton Jr. (Kristen Dodds), and daughters Michelle Sutton, Michele Morsch, and Jennifer (James) McManus. Her legacy is further enriched by her grandchildren, including Jonathan Rivaldo, Glen Sutton III, Corey Sutton, Jadyn Sutton, Chanderae Martin, Bianca Saporito, and Caitlin Sutton, as well as several great-grandchildren whose lives are imbued with her warmth and love.

Family meant everything to Cathy. She is survived by her devoted sisters, Judy Uhl, Dawn (Mike) Wooledge, and Jean (Ray) Southcott, and her brothers, James (Christine) Morse, Mike (Carole) Morse, and John Fuhrmann. She also leaves behind her sister-in-laws, Debbie Fuhrmann and Sally Weed, along with Brother-in-laws, Joseph Morsch and Stephan Morsch, many beloved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who are grateful for the memories they shared with her.

Cathy’s career at Wegmans Warehouse was more than just a job; it was a community where she formed lasting friendships, treasured moments, and even earned a special parking spot, reflecting the affection her coworkers had for her. Cathy’s laughter and contagious smile graced every room, spreading joy and comfort to everyone around her. She truly exemplified what it meant to be a source of light and happiness.

In her leisure, Cathy found joy in playing the slots at Atlantic City, a pastime that brought her thrill and excitement, echoing the joyful spirit she embodied. Each moment spent there was filled with a sense of adventure and the simple pleasure of enjoying life.

A celebration of Cathy’s remarkable life will be held at a later date, where friends and family can come together to share stories and reminisce about the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Cathy Morsch will continue to be missed, loved, and remembered as a quintessential force of love and laughter. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory be eternally cherished.
