Charles J. DeLorme Jr

Rochester:  Passed away peacefully on October 3, 2014 at age 84.  He was born on November 19,1929 to his parents Charles and Mildred De Lorme who preceded him in death.  He is also preceded by his sister,Sue (Irv) Brewerton, brother Kenny (Marge) De Lorme and 2 grandsons Joseph and Jason Mastowski.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Dorothy (Dot); his children, Skip (Jean) DeLorme, Jerry(Darlene) DeLorme, Gene (Kathy) DeLorme, Tammy (Mike) Leisten,Chris (Laura) DeLorme, Tracy (Mark) Damato; 24 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters, Patty  (Larry) Dalton, Karen (Dave) Abel and brother Dick Delorm, several nieces and nephews.  Charles worked as a Glazier for many years before moving to Kodak where he retired in 1997.  He also served in the US Army.  He loved woodworking, playing cards and dice.  He also loved fishing and teaching all his grandchildren to fish and camping. He was a fan of football, Westerns and anything John Wayne.
Charles’ Celebration of Life will be held Monday October 13th, 5-10 P.M. at Spencerport Firemans Exempt, 75 S. Union Street, Spencerport NY 14559.  His Memorial Service will be held at 6 P.M. with Military Honors.

    I miss bringing you Wendy’s Nuggets and getting you to eat them and I can only hope there is a never-ending Nugget Buffet in Heaven. I’m grateful that your pain has ended and you’re at peace. I love you, Uncle Charlie and I will miss you.

    Dad,
    you were like a second dad to me and grandfather to my kids growing up for over 30 years. So many camping trips, family gatherings, parties. Thank you for the memories. I love you and am happy you are at peace. No more suffering. Take care of those boys up there, give them kisses from aunt Cheryl.

    Uncle Chuck was a friend and a great Uncle. I will never forget that every year we would all head up to Grandma’s trailer and the highlight of the trip would be when He broke out the stash of Canadian Bacon. Thanks for all the good times and great memories. Rest well and God speed.
