My heart goes out to the Family with Chucks Passing. I have known Chuck for over 35 yrs in the days when we both had bands that played at the Cave. Chuck was the one that introduced me to the Calvary Chapel Greece where I worship and Praise our Lord Jesus Christ. I was always in contact with Chuck via text almost up till the last week before His passing. He was so excited that he was coming back to the worship team and would have been this past Sunday. I kept him in prayer every single day up till his passing. The Lord has His way of answering prayers and yes,he answered mine and brought him home as I asked for his healing. Now my brother is in no more pain no more suffering and i am sure eating like a fool. Love you my brother and I will see you again and we will play in that Worship Team in heaven. God bless Colleen and all his family. Your Brother in Christ Lenny Swartz

Deepest Condolences to The Hebing Family. I love this foto of chuck, in his basement recording studio. this is where he helped record, mix …the wales road album ‘FRET NOT.’ he also played a few acoustic solos on the record. I had fun recording with him. he taught me a few guitar licks here and there, EVEN helped me ‘nail some harmonies ‘ on some of my backing vocals. he would ‘sing the part’ out loud, I would ‘mimic’ him singing the vocal, and record my own backing vocal harmonies. I did these gorgeous three part harmonies, that he taught me, he said it sounded like ‘the everly brothers.’ the song is called TREES AND PRETTY THINGS. not only was he an amazing dude, rocker, guitar player, but a studio craftsman who had a gift for crafting songs. I was always welcome at his house, and his bride and him were always feeding a starving artist such as myself. lol. see you in heaven, God -Rocker. tommy

    Hebing family,
My heart is heavy for you during this time, yet, it finds peace in knowing that when this life ends, the next, an eternal life begins. May we hold on to that hope that we will one day see those who have gone before us to be with the King. God bless you and comfort you during this time and into the seasons to come.

This was a shock to hear of Chuck’s passing. I had the honor of fronting the band, Spanky with chuck on guitar. We had lots of good times. My deepest sympathy to his family. I know his talent will be enjoyed in a better place.

    Colleen and family,
Praying that you and yours will find solace in the peace that our Lord has provided and knowing that very soon we will all be joining Chuck at His feet in eternal service and worship.
It was a pleasure knowing and working with Chuck in the worship ministry all those many years ago and we thank the Lord for the abilities Chuck had been blessed with and you for your encouragement and support that allowed him to touch so many of our lives, ushering us musically before the throne of God.
May the Lord bless you and yours!

Chuck will forever be missed by all those that knew him as a man who laughed easily. He was quick to tell you proudly something new about about his family. His mind seemed to reel with musical creativity. After he left the Postal Service we had sporadic conversations. One time we caught up when he did sound for my band. Then last year he invited me to bring a guitar and “jam” but mostly we caught up. Playing guitar with him meant “listen to some great licks” with a harmonic sense anyone would love. He was a wonderful human being. Prayers for his family and those who were blessed to know him.

I am without words. I never go on face book hardly ever. Did not even have a clue. so so sorry and really upset that i was not there or anything to help in any way. people tell me that i have turned into a hermit and i guess i have. Chuck was one of my best friends and maybe my best musical friend. I think about him everyday and say to myself i am going to go see Chuck tomorrow and maybe do some jamming with him. Well now i guess he is up with the lord and doing some playing with Jimi and so many others. Chuck was one of the best rock guitar players around and if you asked him to play anything even jazz, funk, country. he would pull it out from someplace in his bag of trics and play it like he had played that type of music all his life.
Chuck was much more than just an excellent musician, he was loving and super dedicated to his family and friends. He loved Colleen and his kids so very much. When I first met Chuck he was a crazy sinner like the rest of us. When he finally met the Lord, I could not believe the over night change in him. He dedicated his life to God 100% and i never saw him falter from his belief at any time since the first night of his conversion.
I can not believe this and i am so sorry that i did not spend anytime with him in his last days. I will be praying for Chuck and his family but i know that he is in good hands with the Lord. I know this sounds cheap and overused but if there is anything i can do or help in any way give me a call. I know i say this all the time to everybody but I will stop over to visit the family when things are more settled.
    So Sad Ted.
    God Bless
