ROCHESTER, NY: February 28, 2021 at the age of 70. Cherie is predeceased by her mother, Alberta Brabant and father, Edward Brabant. She is survived by her son, Michael Kennedy, daughter-in-law Christine Kennedy, grandchildren Alexander and Evelyn and her beloved dog, Pearl.
She is remembered by family and friends as being a kind, friendly person who loved God. She enjoyed caring for animals and had a loving pet by her side throughout her life. She had a passion for horses and was blessed to have owned one of her own named Meadow Flight. Cherie was a devoted student of dressage, the ultimate expression of horse training and elegance, and used her skills as a volunteer Equine Therapy instructor for the disabled. She was a proud woman who mastered the art of homemaking, from perfectly folded laundry, dust-free counters to a tight made bed you could bounce a quarter off of. While her finances were never much, she always appeared like a million bucks. She had more beauty products than a super model and never left her home without looking her absolute best.
Cherie, we love you dearly and you will forever be in our hearts. Your persistent smile and warm hugs will be missed. God bless you in heaven.
I hadn’t seen her in 38 years but had tried to find her a number of times in the past 5 years On and off. We went to school together and more. Sorry to find out of her passing. I would have liked to reconnect with her before now. Interesting to see that she had red hair. In school she always kept her hair blonde and I had red hair similar to her hair in the picture of her obituary, while I’ve done mine blonde for a number of years of late. I was sincerely grieved to find she had passed away. Hope she wasn’t sick for an extended period beforehand and went home to be with the Lord peacefully.
