W. Henrietta, NY: Daniel J Schmidt – Dan or Danny to his family and friends – died on Friday, January 29, 2021, at age 67. This man brought so much love and laughter into this world! Always ready with a smart-ass answer, and those bright baby blues crinkled with a genuine laugh that you had to join in with. Our good memories of him are the most valued treasures, and any other types of recollections that we might have, will now provide stories filled with laughter and a shrug. Goodness, that man was a pain in the ass and the shenanigans were never-ending. Even during the last weeks of his life, he kept us all on our toes with his stubbornness and jokes.
His memory lives on through his many loved ones, more than we can count. His parents, Marjorie and Gerard Schmidt, sister Barbara Brown, and brother John (sp. Suzanne) Schmidt; three daughters: Amy Schmidt, Rachael Rodvik, and Melissa (sp. Omar) Reaves; seven grandchildren: Terrance Butler, Samantha Butler, Kevin Banks Jr., Camryn Reaves, Jackson Rodvik, Casmier Reaves, and Annarae Rodvik; three nephews: Steven Halter, JC Schmidt, and Kyle Schmidt. And his special friend and love, Annette Buda.
Dan’s wishes were to not have any services, to be cremated, and to have his ashes scattered in the Adirondack Mountains, the place that he loved the most. We would all love for you to share your stories of him here. He will be missed greatly.
